11 x 14 | Oil on Canvas Panel | Kapalua, Maui | 2026
The billowy clouds, energic sea, and frozen lava flows all seem to swirl in unison. I never get tired of watching the sea along this trail in Maui.
Climb On, Eastern Sierra, CA, 2026, Oil on Canvas Panel, 11”x14”
I’m happy with the colors and overall mood of this painting. It captures a great day climbing with my son. What I left out is the tiny silhouette of myself ascending the rock wall on the left. If I had included myself, it would better show the grand scale of this wall, aptly named “Family Wall;” but I really do prefer how the mountain looks sans people! Kelsa’s Glow, Ventura County, CA, 2025, Oil on Stretched Canvas, 11”x14”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
The sunrise in the hills over Lake Piru cast a serene glow in the sky and on the golden grass. This view was from a momentous camping trip with my sister-in-law to “chaperone” my niece and her friends during the last days of their senior year in high school.
Sage Insight, Santa Ynez, CA 2026, Oil on Canvas Panel, 11”x14”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
This springtime view captures the soft morning light on the golden foothills and the calming lavender and green hues from the sage brush. It’s a familiar scene from one of the Midland School trails I frequent with friends.
Moana, Kahalu‘u, Hawaii, 2026, Oil on Canvas Panel, 11”x14”
After painting several wide-view landscapes, I decided to switch gears and zero in on the water, which is full of reflections and interactions from tiny rain droplets. I was aiming for an abstract impressionistic result. I’m not gonna lie – this was a tedious painting to execute!
Country Road, Kern County, CA, 2025, Oil on Canvas Panel, 11”x14”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
On an unusual day in August 2023, we got news that a hurricane might hit California. It ended up making landfall as Tropical Storm Hilary. This painting is of a quaint country road we drove past the day before the storm arrived. I love the ominous clouds brewing above the otherwise calm scene.
Willows Sunset, Santa Cruz Island, CA, 2026, Oil on Canvas Panel, 11”x14”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
The golden glow on the rocks and deep orange hues on the water were magnificent on this lovely December evening at Willows Anchorage. It was a memorable boating trip with my brother and sister-in-law.
Shoreline Bouquet, Cambria, CA, 2025, Oil on Canvas Panel, 11”x14”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
My family and close childhood friends have an annual reunion in Cambria. Walking on the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve Bluff Trail is a regular event. This painting highlights the flowers, which were particularly colorful on this gorgeous spring day.
A Perfect Day, San Simeon, CA, Oil on Canvas Panel, 11”x14”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
At the end of a coastal walk in San Simeon, my husband and I relaxed in front of this exquisite view. It was a perfect day during a romantic weekend get-away.
Which Way is Up, Grand Cayman Island, 2025, Oil on Canvas Panel, 11”x14”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
This pond at the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park in Grand Cayman is reminiscent of Monet’s garden, but in a tropical setting. I was inspired to memorialize our family’s trip to this beautiful spot after seeing an art exhibit featuring Monet.
Escape, Lundy Canyon, CA, 2026, Oil on Canvas Panel, 11”x14”
During the pandemic, I often escaped to the mountains to be free of the fear, anxiety, and restrictions that accompanied the virus. On one such trip, I was comforted by the majesty of these mountains and delicateness of the wildflowers.
Moo, Santa Ynez, CA, Oil on Canvas Panel, 11”x14”
My friends and I often encounter cows on our weekly hikes near Figueroa Mountain in Santa Ynez. This cow, in particular, made me smile. I was compelled to paint her.
Tunnel Vision, Santa Cruz Island, CA, 2026, Oil on Canvas Panel, 11”x14”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
On the beach at Willows Anchorage on Santa Cruz Island, we explored shoreline caves that offered sneak peaks of the rock formations that make this place so special. Credit for inspiration photo: Tessa Roper.
Tiny Dancers, Santa Ynez, CA, Oil on Canvas Panel, 11”x14”
This painting not only pays homage to the very tiny meadow flowers that pop up in the springtime in the Santa Ynez hillsides, but also to the Elton John song it is named after. I found myself mesmerized by the small scale of this scene compared to the vast landscapes I typically paint.
Reach Higher, Lundy Canyon, CA, 2026, Oil on Canvas Panel, 11”x14”
This canyon sees regular thunderstorms, heavy snowfall, and occasional avalanches, all of which transform this landscape that is so peaceful in early summer to something to be reckoned with at other times. I admire the tenacity of the wildflowers reaching higher and higher to spread their seeds before they are once again knocked down by the extreme weather of the changing seasons.
Come Again, Big Sur, CA, Oil on Canvas Panel, 11”x14”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park has one of the most beautiful coves I’ve ever seen. It’s been photographed and painted countless times, but there will never be too many artistic renderings of this spot. The white sand, turquoise water, wildflowers, and waterfall onto the beach will beckon you to come visit again and again. Credit for inspiration photo: Kelsa Ropersmith.
Layers, June Lake, CA, 2026, Oil on Canvas Panel, 11”x14”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
From the sagebrush to the ephemeral ponds, the forests to the hillsides, and the snowy mountain peaks to the altocumulus clouds, this lovely view in June Lake’s backyard is full of layers.
Vacation Vibes, Cancun, 2025, Oil on Canvas Panel, 9”x12”
The clouds and tides are flowing in unison in this Cancun seascape. This moment was from over 20 years ago during a family trip to explore and study the Mayan pyramids.
Spring Over the Clouds, Santa Ynez, CA, 2025, Oil on Canvas Panel, 9”x12”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
Springtime on Figueroa Mountain Road often offers a blast of colors, especially from lupine and California poppies. This day did not disappoint. The low-lying clouds offered an extra special touch.
On the Rocks, Hawaii, 2025, Oil on Stretched Canvas, 11”x14”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
The volcanic rocks of the island of Hawaii make for incredible seascapes. I like the juxtaposition of the glassy pool and the crashing waves in this view.
Moloka‘i in the Sky, Maui, 2021, Oil on Canvas Panel, 8”x10”
The clouds are hovering over Molokai in this seascape viewed from West Maui, near Kahana.
Kahalu‘u Sunset in the Rain, Hawaii, 2023, Oil on Stretched Canvas, 12”x16”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
I loved sitting on the beach during this rainy sunset. The interplay of the light with the water and rocks was beautiful. My husband and I spent our honeymoon not far from this spot in Hawaii.
Clouds Over McLeod, Mammoth, CA, 2024, Oil on Canvas Panel, 9”x12”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
The color of this lake makes me so happy. It's a beautiful spot to relax and reflect.
Big Morongo Canyon, Morongo Valley, CA, 2025, Oil on Canvas Panel, 9”x12”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
This is an early morning view up canyon from a lovely spot in the high desert. The yuccas in the foreground and a whisper of snow-covered San Gorgonio Mountain in the background are familiar features of this landscape my family cherishes.
Magical Meadow, Inyo National Forest, CA, 2025, Oil on Canvas Panel, 11”x14”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
This beautiful spot is along the Reversed Peak trail near the snow ponds. The Eastern Sierras peek through the background. I was inspired to paint this scene because it reminds me of a view Monet would paint.
Reflections of Dana, Tuolumne Meadows, CA, 2022, Oil on Canvas Panel, 8”x10”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
This special pool along the Dana Fork of the Tuolumne River is dancing with colors on this September day in Yosemite.
Green Gateway, Santa Ynez, CA, 2022, Oil on Canvas Panel, 8”x10”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
This is a view of Grass Mountain from Greengate Trail on an early spring day. It's one of my favorite hiking trails.
Monkshood on Saddlebag Lake, Hoover Wilderness, CA, 2024, Oil on Canvas Panel, 9”x12”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
It's rare to find a view with so much to offer — four of my favorite subjects: sky, summits, an alpine lake, and indigo blossoms. Credit for inspiration photo: Andrew Smith.
Tuolumne Glow, Tuolumne Meadows, CA, 2022, Oil on Canvas Panel, 8”x10”. Only available as a limited edition signed print.
One of the most magical places on earth. The sky colors in this Tuolumne Meadows view were from a nearby forest fire, which is unfortunate, but hiking in Yosemite during any conditions is a blessing.

Falling for You, Honolulu, Oahu, 2025, Oil on Canvas Panel, 8”x10”
I am completely enamored by waterfalls near and far and have visited this very accessible Manoa Falls many times. I enjoyed the freeness this scene offered for painting with a loose and monochromatic approach.
